Geneva E. “Gerry” Hubacher, 84, of Massillon, Ohio, died Friday evening, June 28, 2002, at Altercare of Navarre where she had been a patient since 1999, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Hubacher was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Peachie Mary White Teter.
She was married to Earl H. Hubacher, who preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Bennett; two brothers, Percy and Harry Teter; and one stepbrother, Estin Teter.
She retired in 1978 as a waitress from the Massillon Club after 27 and one half years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon, Ohio, Alma Circle of the church, Eastern Star Hadassah Chapter 108, and Amicitia Sunday School Class.
Friends will be received at Atkinson-feuch Shaidnagle Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio, Tuesday from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Marlene Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 301 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
