George Robert Kimble 1922-2002 Obituary

George Robert Kimble, 80, of HC 36, Box 396, Tallmansville, died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at his home in Buckhannon.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1922, in Randolph County, a son of the late Wilbert Isaac and Bertha Trussler Kimble.

On Feb. 22, 1947, he married Margaret Blanch Hamilton Kimble, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2000.

Surviving are one daughter, Eva Potts and husband, Junior, Buckhannon; three sons, Charles Kimble and wife, Sandra, and Gary Kimble and wife, Sherry, all of Buckhannon, and Terry Kimble and wife, Janet, Tallmansville; three brothers, Clarence Kimble, Volga, Othie Kimble, North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Riley Kimble, Elyria, Ohio; four sisters, Icie Mahaffie, Minnesota, Florence Tenney, Annie Fletcher and Marguerite Hawkins, all of Buckhannon; six grandsons, Andy Potts and Rob Kimble, both of Buckhannon, Adrian Kimble, Tallmansville, J.W. Kimble and Chris Kimble, both of Buckhannon, and Clayton Kimble, Tallmansville; two granddaughters, Darlene White, Buckhannon, and Diana Kimble, Tallmansville; two great-grandsons, Levi White and Spencer White, both of Buckhannon; and a great-granddaughter, Chantel White, Buckhannon.

He was preceded in death by two sons, George Edward Kimble and Thomas Wayne Kimble; two brothers, Albert Kimble and Wayne Kimble; and one sister, Lorrie Kimble.

He was a coal miner for Miami Coal Co. He served in the Army during World War II.
