Gladys Cappadony 1913-2003 Obituary
Gladys Jane Cappadony, 90, a resident of 337 Blaine Ave., a lifelong resident of the Midland community and a patient in the Cortland Acres Nursing Home since Sept. 15, passed away at 6:58 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, in the nursing home.
She was born June 20, 1913, at Cassity, a daughter of the late Frank Paul and Zada Dell Phares Cappadony. She had never married.
Surviving is a brother, Arlan O. “Pete” Cappadony of Elkins; a niece, Mary Helen Williams of San Antonio, Texas; and a nephew, Hugh Paul Lafayette of Baltimore, Md.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Paul Cappadony, and a sister, Helen Lafayette.
Miss Cappadony attended the schools of Randolph County and the White Cross of Beauty Culture in Cleveland.
She was employed as a beautician for many years prior to her retirement. She was a Presbyterian by faith.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be under the direction of the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins for Gladys Jane Cappadony.
