Gladys Ruth “Mills” Grubb, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born September 23, 1935 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Ocie Brenice Hibbs Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Grubb; one sister, Nancy Lee Mills and two brothers, Charles E. and Arthur Glen Mills. Surviving are two sons, Gary Allen Mills and Charles LeRoy Grubb, both of Buckhannon; three daughters, Melinda Mills and Patricia Ann Grubb, both of Buckhannon and Joyce Apple of Kingfisher, OK; several grandchildren; five sisters, Wrickey M. Barnett of Akron, OH, Alda Wren Zirkle of Bridgeport, WV, Hettie Hall of Akron, Dora Parkhill of Buckhannon and Dorothy Harper of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Cleston Mills of French Creek, WV and William Robert Mills of Hartville, OH and a niece, Cetrina Marshell Smith of MD. Mrs. Grubb was a homemaker. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM, Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday, May 3, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery in Excelsior, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
