Glenn Kenton Bud Evans 1923-2002 Obituary

Glenn Kenton “Bud” Evans, 79, of Maysville, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, following an extended illness.

He was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Jordan Run, the son of the late Evers and Dollie Arbogast Evans.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Clarice Phares Evans.

Surviving are one daughter, Carole Smith, Arthur; one son, Tom Evans, Maysville; one sister, Ica Teter, Maysville; three brothers, Leo Evans and Gene Evans, both of Maysville, and Colon Evans, Rig; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Emil Evans; and one sister, Helen Teter.

Mr. Evans was a lifelong farmer and retired from Allegheny Mining in 1978 where he operated heavy equipment.

He was a member of the Brick Church of the Brethren.

The Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg is in charge of the arrangements.
