Harold J. Bosley, 80, of Route 2, Box 154A, Alton community, French Creek, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at 7:32 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

He was born May 7, 1922, at Alton, a son of the late Dwight Bosley and Valda Hosaflook Bosley.

On May 3, 1941, he married Jeanetta F. Miller Bosley, who survives in French Creek.

Also surviving are five sons, David Bosley and wife, Glenda, Tallmansville, Gail Bosley and wife, Dottie, Rock Cave, Joseph Bosley and wife, Diana, Raphine, Va., Donald Bosley and wife, Holly, Hillsdale, N.J., and Kenneth Bosley and wife, Jan, Cincinnati, Ohio; three daughters, Bonnie Boggs, Carter, Jeanie Perry and husband, Mike, Ten Mile, and Judy Kennedy and husband, Ralph, Warner Robins, Ga.; three brothers, Jim Bosley, Morgantown, Dail Bosley, Glen Willard, Pa., and Robert Bosley, Rock Hill, S.C.; one sister, Mildred Collins, Worthington; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Wilda Bennett, Helen Morrison and Violet Long; one brother, Hartsel Bosley; one son-in-law, Junior Boggs; and one grandson, Jeffrey Paul Bosley.

He was a saw mill operator for Ed Arey Split Rails. He served in the Army during World War II in Korea and Okinawa. He was a member of French Creek Chapter 36 DAV and a member of Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663. He attended Alton United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Alton United Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sue Lowther and the Rev. Oren Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Camp Church Cemetery in French Creek. The Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 and Frank B. Bartlett Post 7, American Legion will conduct military honors at the graveside.
