Harry B. McDaniels, 67, of HC 78, Selbyville, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.

He was born Feb. 15, 1935, at Selbyville, a son of the late Ercil and Mary VanGilder McDaniels.

He was united in marriage on June 14, 1973, to Olga Sepella McDaniels, who survives.

He is also survived by three brothers, Jim and wife, Wilma McDaniels, of Bridgewater, Pa., Robert and wife, Bessie McDaniels, of Selbyville, and Rick and wife, Karen McDaniels, of Coroapolis, Pa.; four sisters, Eloise and husband, Edward Hedzik, of Economy Boro, Pa., Ina Reddinger of Freedom, Pa., Mildred and husband, Jim McVicker, of Carolina, and Sharon Decker of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Mr. McDaniels was a veteran of Vietnam, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0148 of Mt. Zion. He was a life member of the Buckhannon VFW Post 3663. He attended the Good Hope Tabernacle Church.

Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Good Hope Tabernacle Church, where the body will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery at Selbyville, where the Buckhannon VFW Post 3663 and the Frank B. Bartlett Post 7, American Legion will accord military rites.
