Howard Dale Workman 1942-2010 Obituary

Howard Dale Workman , 68, a resident of Files Creek in Beverly, WV entered into eternal rest early Friday evening November 26, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV surrounded by family. He was born Friday April 24, 1942 in Elkins, WV a son of the late Howard Claire and Olive Ida Schoonover Workman. He attended the schools of Randolph County. Some of his hobbies included hunting, going to auctions and having yard sales. Dale was employed for twenty six years at Kelly Foundry in Elkins, WV and retired from the Randolph Village Apartments in Elkins, WV. He was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Elkins, WV. He truly loved being with his family. His grandchildren were the bright stars in his life. He loved all children. On Friday July 3, 1964 in Elkins, WV at the First Baptist Church he married the former Betty Jean Ware. Left to cherish his memories are his wife : Betty Jean Ware Workman of Beverly, WV; one daughter: Connie Bard and husband Randy of Caldwell, TX; one son: Steve Workman and wife Jody of Midlothian, TX; three granddaughters: Catherine Jean “Catie” Bard, Emily Louise Bard and Ruth Ann “Ruthie” Bard all of Caldwell, TX; one grandson: Caleb Quinn Workman of Midlothian, TX; three sisters: Delores “Jeanie” Mundell and husband Robert of Reedsville, WV and Wilma “Beni” Armentrout and husband Robert of Elkins, WV and Hope Bryant and husband Harold of Kerrville, TX; many nieces and nephews as well as many extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday November 30, 2010 at The Landmark Baptist Church located at 7 Forest Brook Drive in Elkins, WV with Pastor Ken Shiflett and the Rev. Randy Bard officiating and special song selections provided by Pastor Mark Houser. As a lifelong Christian Dale found great comfort and peace in his Savior Jesus Christ.
