Hubert Denver Westfall, 80, of Price Street, Jane Lew, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center at Clarksburg.

He was born at Rock Cave, a son of the late Fred F. and Edna G. McCartney Westfall.

He was married to the late Elaine Jackson on April 15, 1949, who preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1984.

Surviving are the following, two sons, Michael Wayne Westfall of Nutter Fort, and Steven Alen Westfall and wife, Tina, of Jane Lew; two daughters, Connie Zannino and husband, Sam, of Baltimore, Md., and Carrie Blake and husband, John, of Weston; five sisters, Ruth Paxton of Seabring, Ohio, Maxine Enlow of Ohio, Christine Riley of Philadelphia, Pa., Augustine Dobbins of Texas, and Garnet Eason of Blue Eye, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Ester Polan of Weston, Ohio; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Ramsey; one brother and three grandchildren.

Mr. Westfall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 573 of Clarksburg and worked for Lewis County Glass from 1945 to 1984 and had worked for Salem Glass.

Friends will be received at Morris Funeral Home in Jane Lew Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. with Beverley Tonkin Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in Westfall Cemetery located by the Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Military gravesite honors will be offered by the American Legion Post 13 Color Guard of Clarksburg.
