Jack Alton Hammonds, 60, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014 at home. Jack was born Thursday, February 25, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Arthur Aldon Hammonds and Bernice Lee McDaniel Hammonds. Left to cherish Jack’s memory is his longtime friend and companion, Ina Errington of Huttonsville, four siblings, Sandra K. Swayze and husband, George of Silverdale, WA, John A. Hammonds and wife, Debra of Martinsburg, Dennis L Hammonds of Chester, MD, and Teresa L. Oswald of Pasadena, MD, five nephews, Jimmy, John, Scott, Brett, and Kyle, and three nieces, Kristin, Tammy, and Crystal. Preceding Jack in death besides his parents was one brother, Vince Hammonds and one sister, Angie Hammonds. Jack attended the schools of Maryland including, Glen Burnie Senior High School, had worked many various jobs before becoming disabled. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, and he loved spending time with family and friends while playing and listening to music. He was always the life of any party and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6P to 8P. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 12 noon. Pastor Jack Howell will officiate and interment will follow at the Mouse Cemetery in Elkins.
