Jack Carr, 71, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

Jack was born Saturday, March 20, 1943 in Elkins, a son of the late Orval Lawrence Carr and Arbutus Elizabeth Barkley Carr.

On December 20, 1965, in Elkins, he married the former Brenda Kay Hinchman who survives in Elkins.

Also left to cherish Jack’s memory are two children, Jacqueline Dawn Carr Williams and husband Kevin of Morgantown and J. Kevin Carr and wife Anita of Norton, seven grandchildren, Zachary Williams, Natasha Koker, Jake Carr, Amy Marsh, Justin Carr, Robin Painter and Billy Painter, five great grandchildren, Shi, Coleson, Aubrey, Gavyn and Elijah, two sisters, Melva Jean Iseli of GA and Shirley Delores Booth of MD and best friend Carson Markley. P

receding Jack in death besides his parents are four siblings, Donald, James, Jerry and Ruth and his best friend, David Fletcher.

Jack enjoyed collecting coins and antiques and would set up a table weekly at the Elkins Flea Market.

He was a regular voice on the Trading Post.

Jack loved listening to music and enjoyed family car rides. Especially, putting his dog Buddy in the car and GOING!

Jack will be remembered as a person who had an extremely kind heart, was loyal, dependable and helped anyone that needed help.

Jack was so proud and always boasted about being part of the first set of triplets born in Randolph County.

He was a Jehovah’s Witness by faith. Jack’s request for cremation was honored.

On Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Randolph Funeral Home, Brother Linton Wright will speak from 2:00P until 2:30P. Visitation with the family will then continue until 4:00P.

A dinner will be held at the Elkins Days Inn at 4:30P.
