James Anthony Tony Arman 1974-2002

James Anthony “Tony” Arman, 28, a resident of Hambleton, departed this life early Sunday morning, Dec. 8, 2002, at the Davis Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted.

He was born Jan. 2, 1974, in Parsons, the son of Kathy Hinkle Dumire and his stepfather, Jerry, Parsons, and his father, James B. “Moon” Arman, Davis.

He was twice married, first to Stephanie Dragovich Arman, Leadmine, and second to Shanna Hebb Arman, Elkins.

Also surviving are three sons, James Earl “Jamie” Arman, Leadmine, Dylan Arman, Elkins, and Austin James Whetzel, Petersburg; two daughters, Natasha Ware, Horseshoe, and Haleigh Arman, Elkins; one brother, Richard Arman, Hambleton; six sisters, Angela Dumire, Jerica Dumire and Tabitha Dumire, all of Parsons, Evelyn Cassidy and husband, Phil, Hambleton, Mary Slavin, Pennsylvania, and Phyllis Ann Kerens and husband, Archie, Parsons; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Hinkle, Hambleton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Hinkle; his paternal grandparents, Boyd and Pearl Jewell Mensch; and one sister, Roberta Hinkle.

Mr. Arman was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 1993. He was a former employee of the PCM Co., as an electrician, and at the time of his death was a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid car enthusiast and he loved hunting and fishing.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Friday at 1 p.m. The Rev. John Morrison and the Rev. Leon Hevener will officiate and interment will follow at the Sunrise Cemetery at Hambleton. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for James Anthony “Tony” Arman.
