James H. “Jim” Coleman Jr., 46, of Route 4, Buckhannon, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at his home.

He was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Amherst, Ohio, the son of the late James H. Coleman Sr. and Norma Jean Fortney Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Flanagan Coleman of Route 4, Buckhannon, whom he married July 31, 1975.

Surviving are one daughter, Lauri Coleman of Wakeman, Ohio; one son, Jimmy Coleman of Buckhannon; four brothers, Jerry Coleman of Elyria, Ohio, Rick Coleman and wife, Donna, of Elyria, Ohio, Tony Coleman and wife, Tina, of Ripley, and Dave Coleman and wife, Pam, of Buckhannon; an uncle and aunt, Glen and Pat Coleman of Loveland, Ohio; eight nieces; three nephews; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Scott Coleman.

Mr. Coleman worked as a molder for Elyria Foundry in Elyria, Ohio, for 18 years until 1996 when he retired for health reasons.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday.

Interment will be at Coleman’s Little Green Acre on Route 4, Buckhannon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
