James Grafton -2001 Obituary
James A. (Jim) Grafton of Hagerstown, MD died Dec. 12, at home.
Born Sept. 20, 1955 in Kentucky, he was the son of James E. Grafton of Parosns and he late Margaret A. Shorter Grafton. He was the husband of Kathy J. Grafton of Williamsport, MD.
He was a 1973 graduate of Parsons High School, and later from West Virginia University, Morgantown, where he receved a masters degree in occupational safety. He was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
In addition to his father and wife, Jim is survived by one daughter, Trisha Rudolph of Martinsburg; two sons, James Robert Grafton of Hagerstown, and Dustin Grafton of Parsons; a step-son, Patrick Waldron of Williamsport, MD; four sisters, Marie Grafton of Parsons, Kris Wamsley of Hendricks, Cathy Stemler of Philippi and Kim Lanham of St. Albans; two brothers, John Grafton of Winfield and Kevin Grafton of Martinsburg.
A service will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 2 pm at the Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Lookout. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tucker Community Endowment Foundation for the benefit of Margaret Ann Grafton Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 491, Parsons, West Virginia 26287.
