Jay A. Lawrence, 40, of Leatherleaf Court, DeLand, Fla., died Monday, April 8, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Lawrence was born in Lakeland, Fla., a son of Charlaine Fuhrman, who survives in Elkins, who provided for his care during his illness.
Also surviving are one son, Jay Lawrence Jr., Orange City, Fla; one daughter, Kaitlin Lawrence, Orange City, Fla.; one brother, Bill and wife, Kim Lawrence, DeLand, Fla.; and his paternal grandmother, Emily Lawrence, DeLand, Fla.
Mr. Lawrence was a graduate of Taylor High School in Pierson, Fla. He was a plumber.
He enjoyed the beach and three wheeler and he loved his children.
