John William Allman, 57, of Eglon, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1946, in Canaan Valley, the son of the late Cline Allman and Ruth Simmons Allman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Mullenax Allman; one son, William James “Billy” Allman, at home; one daughter, Sue Ann, and Chris Yost, Eglon; one brother, Cline “Buck” Allman Jr. and wife, Martha, Canaan Valley; three sisters, Betty Kisamore and husband, Neil, Reedsville, Maggie Eye and husband, Ivan, Painesville, Ohio, and Wanda Burns, Sterling, Va.; one grandson, Christopher Yost Jr.; one granddaughter, Desiree Yost; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Hilbert “Hib” Allman.
Mr. Allman was a farmer and a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren in Eglon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Glen Nissly officiating. Interment will follow in Eglon Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
