Juanita Prit Reda, 90, of Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Laura Fincham Pritt of Mill Creek.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Morris of Bethany Village, Pa., Helen Shipman of Springfield, Va., and Madge Pritt of Mill Creek; and brother, Herbert Pritt of Philadelphia, Pa.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Victor; her daughters, Muretta Yentzer (Robert) of Carlisle, Pa., and Jill Kent (Jim) of Hoover, Ala.; and her two loving grandsons, Taylor and Dillon Kent, also of Hoover, Ala.

Juanita graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek with honors and attended Davis & Elkins College studying business and secretarial studies. She met and married Victor in 1942. After moving to Pennsylvania, Victor and Juanita owned and operated Mechanicsburg Beverage Distributor for 21 years. Upon their retirement, they spent winters at their Florida home playing cards, golfing and entertaining family and friends. They enjoyed traveling to each and every state and to many places abroad. Juanita was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and took an active role in the Markettes and Hymns and Hems, the Range Inn Ladies League, the Highland Park Women’s Club and the Red Hat Society.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church of Mechanicsburg, Pa., or the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter.

A celebration of Juanita’s life was conducted Jan. 19at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg. Internment followed in Rolling Green Cemetery on Carlisle Road in Camp Hill.
