OBITUARY: JUDY E. CROSTON Judy Elaine Croston, 68, of Hanging Rock Community, Philippi, died Wednesday, November 21, at her home following an extended illness. She was born January 29, 1944, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Ezra and Katharine (Mayle) Mayle. On February 17, 1963, she was married to Ira Joseph Croston, who survives at their home in Hanging Rock Community. Also surviving are four daughters, Tracy Elaine Hunter and husband, Steve, Marie Ann Mayle and husband, Craig, Becky Lynn Mayle and husband, Hartzel and Nina Rose Norris and husband, Ted, all of Philippi; one son, Keith Randall Croston and companion, Eva Dalton, Philippi; three sisters, Betty Jo Parson, Peoria, Ill., Mary Jane Johnson and Nancy Mayle, both of Moatsville; four brothers, Vincent Mayle, Rodney Mayle, Curtis Mayle and Elden Mayle, all of Canton, Oh.; grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Croston, Jessica Renee Miner, Monica Lynn Shaffer, Brittany Nicole O’Dell, Branden Hartzel Mayle, Samantha Yvonne Croston, Aaron Mitchel Norris, Michael Steven Hunter, Lauren Adell Norris, Matthew Trey Hunter and Zoey Kaitlyn Collins; great grandchildren, Aubrey Dawn Poling and Avery Laine Shaffer. She was also preceded in death by one son, Crolin Ira Mayle; by two sisters, Ruth Ann Mayle and Fern Culberson and by two brothers, Donald Mayle and Cyrus Mayle. Mrs. Croston was a homemaker and was a member of the Peoples Chapel Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 24, from the Peoples Chapel Church. The Rev. Ruston Seaman and the Rev. David DeRouchie will officiate and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Friends may call at the Peoples Chapel Church on Friday, November 23, from 3:00 until 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday, from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. the funeral hour. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
