Junior H. White, 79, of 89 Columbus Ave., Meriden, Conn., husband of Sharon (Keating) White, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 22, 2003, at MidState Medical Center.

He was born in Dry Fork, June 22, 1923, a son of the late Ressie H. and Myrtle R. White. He had been a resident of Meriden.

He was a graduate of Green Bank High School with the class of 1941. He was employed by Chandler-Evans Co. from 1946 to 1957 and with AGC of South Meriden, from 1957 to 1992, retiring as plant manager. More recently, he worked part-time for Arrow Drug and Omni Care. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and was very active as a member of the BPOE No. 35.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert H. White of Medford, Mass., Bruce E. White of Texas, and Jay Michael White of Linden, Va.; two grandsons, Peter and Jonathan White, both of Medford, Mass.; one great-grandson, Thomas White of Medford, Mass.; one stepson, C.J. Pulaski Jr. and three Pulaski grandchildren of Meriden, Conn.; one sister, Gwen McVaney of Southington, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held March 26 at 10 a.m. at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, Conn., with the Rev. Eric Henderson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed at the Walnut Cemetery in Meriden, Conn.
