Kathleen “Kitty” Wade, 81, of 7 Bluegrass Village, Morgantown, died at 9:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at her home in Morgantown.

She was born July 29, 1921, at Dry Fork, a daughter of the late Fred and Cynthia Judy Harper.

She was twice married. First, she married Blondie Tenney, who preceded her in death. Second, she married Cecil Wade, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Dalton Ray Tenney, Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Sue and husband, Skip Brown, Morgantown, and Jean and husband, Roy Hess, Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Khlar Harper and wife, Opal, Elkins; three grandsons, Kevin Tenney, Baltimore, Md., J.L. Brown and wife, Susan, Morgantown, and Mike Tenney and wife, Lisa, Baltimore, Md.; two granddaughters, Beckie Penniwill and husband, Brian, Baltimore, MD., and Lori Miller and husband, Rick, Grafton; two great-grandsons, Logan Miller, Grafton, and Travis Brown, Morgantown; and three great-granddaughters, Rachel Miller, Grafton, and Kara Penniwill and Kaylin Penniwill, both of Baltimore, Md.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Harper.

She worked on the staff that opened the Holiday Inn Restaurant in Morgantown and was a waitress at the Rainbow Restaurant. She was a member of the Buckhannon VFW Post 3663 Ladies Auxiliary. She attended the Covenant EMC in Morgantown.

Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park.
