Mr. Kenneth Edward “Ken” Cox, a resident of Lost Creek, departed this life at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown.

He was born Jan. 11, 1969, at Clarksburg, a son of Gene Edward and Linda Carole Pharis Cox, who survive at Lost Creek.

He is survived by one sister, Kris Evans and husband, Carl, of Good Hope; maternal grandmother, Janis Pharis of Junior; two nephews, Shane Evans and wife, Heather, of Good Hope and Brandon Evans; two great-nephews, Landon and Bryson of Good Hope; and several aunts and uncles.

Mr. Cox graduated from the South Harrison High School with the class of 1987 and attended Glenville State College. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was last employed at Temp-vent Heating and Cooling at Lincolnton, N.C. He was a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received from Talbott Funeral Home in Belington Saturday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery near Belington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
