Kenneth Larry Gibson 1939-2002 Obituary

Kenneth Larry Gibson, 62, a former resident of Slaty Fork and a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home for the past several years, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at 5 p.m. at the nursing home. He had been in failing health for the past several years.

Born July 23, 1939, in Slaty Fork, he was a son of the late Odie and Chole Hannah Gibson.

He was united in marriage to the former Delores Currence, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Gibson is survived by four brothers, Don Gibson and wife, Eulah, Arnold Gibson and wife, Judy, Earl Gibson and wife, Connie, and Denney Gibson and wife, Peggy.

He was preceded in death by one brother, one daughter and one sister.

Larry was employed at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, Md., until being injured and retiring due to disability.

Friends will be received on Sunday after 5 p.m. at F.E. Runner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Frank Long, pastor of the Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Gibson Cemetery in Slaty Fork. The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Kenneth Larry Gibson.
