Kevin L. Louk Jr., 15, a resident of Route 3, Georgetown Road, Elkins, where he made his home with his parents, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at noon in Davis Memorial Hospital emergency room from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on U.S. 219 north.

Born June 3, 1987, at Elkins, he was the son of Kevin L. Louk Sr., who survives on the Georgetown Road and the late Deborah Jones Louk, who preceded him in death on June 13, 1992. In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Sue Gum, of the Georgetown Road.

He is survived by a sister, Karen Marie Louk, and fiance, Shawn Breeden, of Pin Oak; a stepsister, Brandi Nicole Wilt, at home; a stepbrother, Rex Allen Wilt, and wife, Uteva, Century; his paternal grandparents, Jurd and Flossie Wegman Louk, Hopewell, Va.; and his maternal grandparents, Roger and Judith Henline Jones, Mill Creek.

Also surviving are two nieces, Shaina Nicole and Stephanie Renee Breeden; a stepniece, Aiyana Blaine Wilt; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He would have been entering his sophomore year in August at Elkins High School. He was well known in his neighborhood for helping people because he never met a stranger. He loved to draw and do wood burnings and he also helped his father with wood crafts. He was a lover of all sports and he also liked to fish and hunt.

He was a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at the F. E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Pam Shuman, pastor of the Orlena United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. State Memorial Gardens at Gilman. The casket will remain closed.
