L. Blanche Quick 1902-2002 Obituary

L. Blanche Quick, 100, a former resident of Mill Creek, and a patient in Heartland Nursing Home in Charleston for the past 10 years, passed away at 4 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002, in the nursing home.

She was born April 4, 1902, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Berdette and Ola Paugh Croston.

She was married to Willie L. Quick, who preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Reginald (Nancy R.) Halstead of South Charleston; two brothers, Stanley Croston of Valley Bend, and Leonard Croston of Elkins; two granddaughters, Cindy Skroski of Leavettsville, Va., and Sharon Moore of Charleston; and two great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, John Croston and Alvie Croston; and one sister, Kay Polito.

Mrs. Quick was a homemaker and a member of Mill Creek Presbyterian Church.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with Dr. Robert Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
