Lena Malcomb 1906-2002 Obituary

Lena Malcomb, 96, of HC 32 Box 12, Hacker Valley, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at Webster Continuous Care in Cowen, following a long illness.

She was born Jan. 2, 1906, in Hacker Valley, a daughter of the late Jacob Klee and Anna Klee.

She was married to Jesse Malcomb, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Rosa Klee Eye, Hacker Valley, and Thelma Lee, Smithville, Ohio; and two brothers, Karl Norman Klee and Jacob Emil Klee, both of Webster Springs.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Burky and Ida Echard; and one brother, John William Klee.

Mrs. Malcomb was an elementary teacher for 35 years and a principal for 11 years at Hacker Valley. She was an Eastern Star member in Rock Cave, a Rebekah member of Hacker Valley and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She received her college diploma from West Virginia Wesleyan.

Friends were received at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home Saturday. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Dugas officiating. Interment followed in Cutlip Cemetery.
