Leonard Gail Wilson 1935-2002 Obituary

Leonard Gail Wilson, 67, a resident of Belington, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born May 23, 1935, at Belington, a son of the late Charles David and Minnie Harris Wilson.

On June 18, 1957, at Tallmadge, Ohio, he was married to Shirley Mae Gross, who survives at Belington.

Also surviving are two sons, Leonard Wilson and Steven Wilson, both of Belington; three daughters, Cherry Lynn Triplett, Belington, Patricia Ann Brobst, Parsons, and DeAnn Marie Howell of Beverly; four brothers, Charles and Joseph Wilson, both of Akron, Ohio, Francis and Richard Wilson, both of Belington; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Robin Jean Wilson; and one brother, Robert Wayne Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was employed by Monongahela Power prior to becoming disabled. He was an avid CB’er whose handle was “Thunderbird.” He was a member of the Calvary Southern Baptist Church.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. F.L. “Wink” McQuain and the Rev. Vernard Tasker officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery near Belington.
