Lillian “Lilly” Mae Lambert Scott, 69, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 14, 2013 at home. Lilly was born Sunday, February 20, 1944 in Valley Bend, a daughter of the late Earl and Wilda Lambert. On February 6, 1973 she married Mason Scott Sr. who preceded her in death on February 18, 2006. Left to cherish Lilly’s memory are nineteen children, Marvin Taylor and wife Cathy, Wanda Tenney and husband Tim, Norma Decker and husband Mark, Jeff Scott and wife Tina, Diana Martin and husband Darrell, Curt Scott and wife Paula, Mason Scott Jr. and wife Donna, Danny Scott, Judy Himes and husband Paul, Dana Scott and wife Stephanie, Lisa Scott and husband Junior, Deena Bender, Robert Taylor and wife Debbie, Billy Taylor, David Lambert, Gary Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Ronald Taylor and Becky Currence, one brother, John Lambert and wife Artie, three sisters, Barbara Ramsey and husband Carl, Mary Marsh and husband Fred and Carolyn McGee and husband Jerry, forty-five grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was one brother, Franklin Lambert, one half brother, Shirley Moore, one grandson and one great granddaughter. Lilly attended the schools of Randolph County. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends. Her spare time was spent playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, taking care of her flowers and caring for her pets. Lilly was a very loving and caring person and will be missed and loved by many. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 6PM until 8PM. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at Noon at the Mt. Olive Church in Hemlock. Reverend Tristan Tenney will officiate and interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery Church Cemetery.
