LOIS LOUISE MOATS Lois Louise Moats, 70, of Rt. #4, Philippi, died Tuesday evening, May 14, in the Davis Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born November 16, 1942, at Belington, a daughter of the late Carl Odbert and Eva Lena (McDonald) Findley. Her husband of 43 years, Joseph Edward Moats, preceded her in death on November 18, 2004. Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Bergeron and husband, Michael, Richmond, Va.; two grandsons, Lance and Troy Bergeron, both of Richmond; one sister, Juanita June Delauder with whom she had made her home and by several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Louis Loren Findley and by brothers, Donald Ray Findley and Carl Odbert Findley Jr. Mrs. Moats was a homemaker and care giver and was Baptist by faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with her sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 17, 2013 from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. The Rev. Lennie Burl Haddix will officiate and interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M., on Thursday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour, on Friday. Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
