Lola M. Brick Hinkle, age 63 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life early Tuesday afternoon, November 9, 2010 at her home. Death was unexpected.
She was born Monday, March 24, 1947 at Charleston, WV. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Lola and Dan Swartz. On July 2, 1969, she was married to Clark Daniel Hinkle, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Samantha Hinkle, Elkins; one sister, Rosilee A. Grindle and husband Bill, Elkins; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Nichole and Jessica Ann and one nephew, William Paul Grindle, Craigsville.
Lola was a graduate of Nicholas County High School with the Class of 1965 and attended the Davis Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and the C & O School of Nursing. She was a nurse for over forty years, having worked at Davis Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph’s Express Care, United Hospital Center and Elkins Express Care.
Mrs. Hinkle’s request for cremation was honored. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Maplewood Memorial Mausoleum at Elkins, WV. The Rev. Bill Linhart will officiate and entombment will follow.
