Louise C. Louk 1929-2002 Obituary

Louise C. Louk, 73, a resident of Wymer, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born March 29, 1929, at Wymer, the daughter of the late Jason White and the late Eva Haddix White Pennington.

She was married to Grover Louk, who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1989.

She is survived by four sons, Grover J. Louk, Wymer, Donald Louk and wife, Darlis, Alpena, Michael Louk, Dry Fork, and Phillip Louk and wife, Leslie, Elkins; two daughters, Nancy Arbogast and husband, Jim, Short Gap, and Phyllis Yokum and husband, Rick, Alpena; two brothers, Richard White and wife, Helen, Athens, Ohio, and Arnold White, Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Lou Minke, Marietta, Ohio, Trudy Fisher, Canton, Ohio, and Jeanie Weese and husband, Cliff, Akron, Ohio.

Fourteen grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews also survive.

Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Jason White Jr., Lawrence and Randy White and Cliffie Pennington; and one sister, Geraldine Chewning.

Mrs. Louk was a homemaker and attended the Lambert Mennonite Church. She was involved in community activities and enjoyed family and friends.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home chapel with Boyd Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mrs. Louk to the Rosenbaum Family House, P.O. Box 8228, Morgantown, W.Va., 26506, which is a home away from home for patients and their families undergoing treatment at WVU Hospitals. The Tomblyn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Louise C. Louk.
