Lucinda Mae Jones 1921-2002 Obituary

Lucinda Mae Jones, 80, of Route 2, Belington, died Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2002, in the Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care Facility, Philippi, following an extended illness.

She was born March 27, 1921, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Ellis and Ida Mae (Haller) Bryan.

April 8, 1953, she was married to Bernard Jones, who preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Ray Jones, Belington, and William Albert Jones and wife, Lovetta, Boonville, N.C.; two half sisters, Margaret Cross, Belington, and Joann Westfall, whose whereabouts are unknown; one half brother, Harry Wilson, Belington; three grandchildren, Zachariah Jones, Hannah Jones and Stephen Joel Jones, all of Boonville, N.C.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lucille Siebert, Ada Lipscomb and Edith Gay Poling; and by three brothers, Henry Bryan, Charles Bryan and Robert Bryan.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and had attended the Shiloh Church of the Brethren.

Friends may call at Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel in Belington from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Headley and Pastor Calvin Mabry officiating. Interment will follow in the Joseph Chapel Cemetery.
