Mable Grace Pinkerton Pingley, age 98 years, a resident of Beverly, WV, departed this life Sunday, September 19, 2021 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV. She had been in declining health.
She was born Thursday, May 3, 1923 at Kismet, KS, a daughter of the late Harry T. and Leora Main Morris Pinkerton. On December 29, 1947, she was married to Joseph E. Pingley, who preceded her in death May 4, 1998.
Surviving are five sons, Norman Jackson Pingley and wife Gretchen of Spartanburg, SC, Lawrence Clinton Pingley and wife Sally of Farmdale, OH, James Edward Pingley of Port Orange, FL, Michael Wayne Pingley and wife Dorothy of Berkley Springs, and John Thomas Pingley and wife Carolyn of Beverly; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Pinkerton of Pueblo, CO; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are one son, Richard Kent Pingley one brother, Bill Pinkerton and two sisters, Eileen Stewart and Patricia Ann Wymer.
Mable was a graduate of Deerfield High School at Deerfield, KS, and was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church at Beverly, WV. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 PM, Thursday. A Graveside Service will be conducted Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 AM at the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road, Elkins, WV. The Rev. Jack Howell will officiate and interment will follow.
