Mae Bentley 1917-2002 Obituary
Mae Bentley, 85, of 17 Gum St., Buckhannon, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at her home in Buckhannon.
Mrs. Bentley was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Paintsville, Ky., a daughter of the late George and Liddy Margarite Nelson Lyons.
On Feb. 17, 1934, she married Jeff Pat Bentley, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Clarence Bentley and Pat Bentley Jr., both of Buckhannon; three daughters, Patricia Long, Parsons, and Phyllis Andres and Linda Brown, both of Buckhannon; two brothers, Roy Lyons, Gilbertsville, Ky., and Ray Lyons, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Edna Pinney, Willis, Mich.; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Elmer Bentley, Carl Bentley, Bobby Joe Bentley and Radford Bentley; three daughters, Betty Lou Bentley, Eunice Fay Bentley and Lillian Bentley; two brothers, Richard Lyons and Junior Lyons; and three sisters, Zella Killeview, Estaleen Rister and Pauline Lyons.
Mrs. Bentley was a homemaker. She attended Free Will Baptist Church in Lackey, Ky.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Long officiating.
Interment will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
