Maggie Jane Wymer, 91, a former resident of Beverly Mobile Home Court, and for the past eighteen months, a resident of the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, passed from this life Monday evening, February 6, 2012 at the nursing home. She was born Saturday, May 22, 1920 at Thornwood, a daughter of the late Robert A. Wymer and Mary Alice Blanchard Wymer. She was never married. Left to cherish Maggie’s memory is one sister, Elenor Wymer of Beverly, five nephews, Walter ‘Bud’ Wymer, William ‘Bill’ Wymer, Thomas ‘Tom’ Wymer, Robert Wymer, and Dennis Wymer, and five nieces, Ruth Taylor, Wanda Buchanan, Mary Akers, Shirley Myers, and Debra Vargo. Preceding her in death were three sisters, Mary Pickford Morrison, Lou Harris, and Janette Natoma Wymer, four brothers, Elmer, Walter, Theodore, and Edward Wymer, and one nephew, Jackie Whitmire. Maggie was a graduate of Green Bank High School with the class of 1939, and had worked as a office clerk for Mower Lumber Company at Cass for several years before moving to Elkins to live with her mother and sister while working at Harold‘s Key Market. She enjoyed canvas work and had attended the Church of God at Durbin. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, the funeral hour. The Reverend Doctor Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow at Arbovale Cemetery at Arbovale.
