Marian Frances Tenney, 65, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 31, 1937, in Century, the daughter of the late Hayward Wallace Cunningham and Hazel Pauline Mundy Cunningham.

On Aug. 3, 1957, she was married to Donald Tenney, who survives.

Surviving are one son, Christopher W. Tenney of Buckhannon; one daughter, Frances Lynn “Frani” Cremer of Morrison, Colo.; one brother, Dr. Gary Wallace Cunningham of Philippi; one sister, Helena Kay Corley of Charleston; three grandsons, Nicholas W. Tenney and Camron B. Tenney, both of Buckhannon, and Zachary Andrew Cremer of Morrison, Colo.; two granddaughters, Abigail Dawn Cremer and Madison Hope Cremer, both of Morrison, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Donald Tenney.

Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker and member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was a gifted artist and painter and won numerous ribbons for her paintings at surrounding festivals.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gary Stackpole will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. From 2 Oct 2003.
