Martha Jean Turner, 50, a teacher, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at Trinity Baptist Temple. Graveside service were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 13 in Dallas-fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Temple Academy Scholarship Fund, 6045 W.J. Boaz Road, Saginaw, Texas 76179.

She was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio.

She taught for 24 years, teaching in Japan and Fort Worth at Castleberry Christian School and Trinity Baptist Academy. She was a children’s church teacher and a leader in Sister to Sister and always a prayer warrior.

Survivors include her husband, William Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Leon Turner of Saginaw; daughter, Roalyn Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; mother, Autrice Lewis, and brother, Mark Grigsby, both of Elkins; and a host of friends and other relatives.
