Mary Alice Cooper Vance 1931-2002 Obituary

Mary Alice Cooper Vance, 71, of Pasadena, Md., and formerly of Onego, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Anne Arundel Hospital, Annapolis, Md.

She was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Harman, a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Floda K. Lantz Cooper.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Onego Church of the Brethren.

On July 7, 1951, she married Marvin Valley Vance, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1985.

Surviving are one daughter, Kitty S. Vance Phares of Pasadena, Md.; one son, Billy Joe Vance of Franklin; two sisters, Phoebe Cooper Lawrence of Alexandria, Va., and Carol J. Cooper Perine of Radcliff, Ky.; one brother, Joe Henry Cooper of Harman; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Friends will be received today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Onego Church of the Brethren with Pastor Charles Twigg officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
