Mary J. Norman 1921-2002 Obituary
Mary J. Norman, 80, of Route 1, Box 214 A, Buckhannon, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at her home in Buckhannon.
Mrs. Norman was born June 27, 1921, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Enoch and Minnie Lantz Reed.
On April 3, 1941, she married Clifford Carl Norman, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1972.
Surviving are three sons, Carl Blaine Norman, Buckhannon, Jimmie Norman, Volga, and Charles Norman, Buckhannon; two daughters, Phyllis Strader, Buckhannon, and Sue Cussins, Thomas; one brother, Carl William Reed, Buckhannon; three sisters, Gay Norman, Adrian, Ethel Chips, Buckhannon, and Ruth Johns, Flinstone, Md.; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Reed and Kenneth Reed; and two sisters, Mae Ware and Merle Miller.
Mrs. Norman was a homemaker.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Murrell officiating. Interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
