Mary Josephine Bonnell, age 89, of Big Pine Key, FL, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, FL. She was born October 15, 1922 in Barbour Co., WV a daughter of the late Ira and Murell Smallridge Moore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Charles T. Champ, Sr. and her second husband Jennings Bonnell, one brother, Morris Moore, and one step grandson, Charles Gregory Bonnell. She is survived by two sons, Charles Theodore Champ, Jr. of Big Pine Key and Thomas Lowell Champ of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandsons, Charles Theodore Champ, III and Christopher Timothy Champ both of Buckhannon, WV; one granddaughter, Cheryl Terrina Queen of Pittsburgh, PA; several great grandchildren; step son, Charles E. Bonnell and wife Sue of Baconton, GA; step grandson, Rev. R. Scott Bonnell and wife Lisa of Tallahassee, FL; one step great granddaughter, Cheryl Denise Weaver and husband Benjamin of Baconton, GA; and one sister Lucy Louise Norman of Philippi, WV. Mrs. Bonnell was a Baptist by faith. She was part owner in a glass factory in the Keys, a clerk and a homemaker. Friends will be received at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home, Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Joseph Shreve.
