Mary Lou Leary, age 83 years, a resident of Beverly, and a patient in Valentines Personal Care Home in Beverly, passed away early Friday, April 22, 2011 in the Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. She was born September 24, 1927 at Waneta, Webster County, a daughter of the late George Silas Rose and the late Lydia Mae Hogan Rose. She was married to Norman Keith Leary who preceded her in death on November 15, 1998. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Weese, Mill Creek, Mrs. Howard Gene (Connie) Davis, Beverly, Mrs. Darrel (Libby) Chauncey, St. Augustine, FL, Molly Nida and husband Greg, Beverly and Mrs. Rick (Tina) Markley of Huttonsville. Four sisters, Roxie Martin and Mrs. Gatha Folglyano and husband Tom of Ohio, Mamie Hamrick, Webster Springs and Vallie McDaniels of Nitro, WV, eight grandchildren, James Norman Weese, Susanne Marie Shiflett, Heather Linder, Cindy Hardy, Brandy Dalton, Elizabeth Jordan, Allisha Salisbury and Corey Markley and twelve great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death were one sister, Dorothy Rose Riggleman and four brothers, Robert Rose, John Hale Rose, William Dale Rose and George “Bud” Rose, Jr.

Mrs. Leary was a member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church.

Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Linda Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Lou Leary.
