Maxine Dora Turner Ours 1943-2002

Maxine Dora Turner Ours, 58, of Cabins, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin for the past three months.

She was born July 24, 1943, in Seneca Rocks. She was the daughter of Annie Nelson Turner of Cabins and the late Marvin Turner.

Maxine graduated from Circleville High School in 1961 and she worked at the Windsor Knit Sewing Factory in Petersburg for 17 years. She was affiliated with the Corner United Methodist Church, Cabins Assembly of God and the North Fork Mennonite Church.

Surviving are her mother, Annie Nelson Turner of Cabins; her husband of 39 years, John J. Ours of Cabins; one son, Brian Ours and wife, Karen, of Ridgeway, Va.; three daughters, Julie Swick and husband, Ernie, of Cabins, Sandra Paz and husband, Felix, of Harrisonburg, Va., and Fallon Ours of Cabins; two sisters, Marlene Ours of Seneca Rocks and Delores Keplinger of Maysville; one brother, Roland Turner of Seneca Rocks; several nieces and nephews, eight brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.Schaeffer Funeral Home of Petersburg is in charge of the arrangements.
