Megan Danielle Engelkemier, 18, a resident of Montrose, passed from this life Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012 at her home. She had battled difficulties from birth, but her health had been declining for the past two years. She was born Sunday, May 1, 1994, at Takoma Park, MD, a daughter of David Charles Engelkemier and Brenda Ellen Waybright Engelkemier of Montrose. Megan is also survived by two sisters, Alexandra Claire and Amy Briana, both of Montrose, her maternal grandparents, Calvin and Louise Waybright of Parsons, her paternal grandparents, Don and Fran Engelkemier of Huttonsville, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Megan was a student at Elkins High School. She enjoyed listening to music and loved having people around her, especially other teenagers. She attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved her family, and she will be greatly missed. Megan’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at the Valley Vista Adventist Center at Huttonsville on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 4 PM. Pastor Don Jacko will officiate.
