Micah Liam Buddha Higham 1978-2002

Micah Liam “Buddha” Higham, 23, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Uniontown, Pa.

He was born July 27, 1978, in Staten Island, N.Y., a son of Michael W. and Jennifer Pacheco Higham, who survive at Route 2, Buckhannon.

Also surviving are two brothers, Richard and wife, Sharon, of Pt. Pleasant, N.J., and Jason and wife, Debbie, of Virginia Beach, Va.; one niece, Sherilyn of New Jersey; paternal grandparents, William and Ruth Higham of Staten Island, N.Y.; several aunts and uncles, Felix and Marie Pacheco, John Pacheco, Richard and Carmen Clark, Joe and Peggy Pantano and Kathy Higham, all of New York, George and Maureen Kenny of Virginia Beach, Va., Patricia Higham and Ray Eckes of Roanoke, and Gary and Cheri Chenoweth of Route 4, Buckhannon; and several cousins, Felis and Ruben Pacheco, DeDee Vega, Joe and Jill Pantano, all of New York, Danny and Phillip Higham of Roanoke, Raetta Eckes of Weston, Mary Rohrbough of Ellamore, and Jamie and Sarah Chenoweth of Buckhannon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Felix and Valda Pacheco; and paternal uncle, Dennis Higham.

He was a long haul truck driver for J.B. Hunt Co. He was a graduate of Buckhannon-upshur High School with the class of 1997. He was a gentle giant with a warm smile and loving spirit. In his short life, his one true legacy was that he loved his family and friends deeply. We will miss him very much.

Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mitch Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Talbott Cemetery at Talbott.
