Mildred M. Rhea Ware 1926-2002 Obituary

Mildred M. Rhea Ware, 76, a resident of Valley Head, and a patient in the Broaddus Long Term Care in Philippi, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 2002, in the facility.

She was born Aug. 11, 1926, at Slaty Fork, a daughter of the late Walter Lyle and Eula Grace Galford Rhea.

She was married to Junior L. Ware, who preceded her in death in April 1975.

She is survived by one son, Gary W. Ware and wife, Jane, of Valley Head; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Judith) Thompson of Norton, and Darleen K. Ware of Elkins; one brother, Forrest L. Rhea of Marlinton; five grandchildren, Tim Thompson, Illinois, Dee Ross of Coalton, Ross Thompson, Bridgeport, Penney Carpenter of Buckhannon, and Gary Lee Ware of Norton; five great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Also preceding her in death was one brother, Hubert Rhea.

Mrs. Ware attended the schools of Pocahontas County and was a homemaker.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Friday, she will be moved to the Valley Head United Methodist Church for visitation from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Robert Baer will officiate and interment will follow in Valley Head Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1410 Crim Ave., Belington, W.Va. 26250 in memory of Mrs. Ware.
