MPCNC Build Introduction – Goals

Welcome to Snaphwhole.com MPCNC Build Log

I want to build a CNC machine so I can explore how it can be used on my other projects

I looked at just about every 3dprinter/CNC machine on thingiverse.com, and finally chose the MPCNC to build for a CNC Machine to use a Mill, and use it to experiment and explore how useful it can be

I will do a Build Log for this system – https://www.snapwhole.com/index.php/cnc-projects/

Some of the reasons I chose the MPCNC

3/4 conduit Frame – locally sourced, inexpensive, easily replaced
Mostly Printer – The rest of the Frame was easily printed
Size- Pick your size! Start small and go big – I chose large, not knowing what I want to use it for in the future
Control – Arduino
Control – Ramps board
Control – stepper Drivers
Software – Marlin etc

Lots of choices – My Choices

Size – X-Y-Z – 400x400x400 – 15x15x15
Tool Mount – Universal Tool Mount with intent to use HF trim router
Software – Marlin

The design has a lot of built in scalability – If I want bigger, just cut new conduit and reassemble the machine!
