Myrtle Emma Lloyd McCauley, 85, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life late Tuesday evening, June 14, 2011 at Mon General Hospital at Morgantown. She was born on Tuesday, August 18, 1925 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Raymond Lloyd and Blanche Nelson Lloyd. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Olan Ray McCauley, one son, Edwin McCauley, one grandson, Robert L. Taylor, one brother Elmer Lloyd, and two sisters, Marie Currence and Ruth Amos. Left to cherish Myrtle’s memory is one daughter, Evelyn Gibson of Mill Creek, four sons, Dale McCauley and wife, Nancy of Huttonsville, Darrell McCauley of Mill Creek, Timothy McCauley and wife, Tina of Valley Bend, and Carse McCauley and companion, Sherry of Mill Creek, one sister, Clara Mae McCauley of Ohio, one half sister, Irene Hicks of Florida, one brother-in-law, Coleman Currence of Mill Creek, seven grandchildren, Ricky Taylor, Rhonda Taylor, Carla Armstrong, Crystal Blankenship, Brandy McCauley, Emma McCauley, and Olan McCauley, one step grandson, Steve Shrader, ten great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one step great great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended the schools of Randolph County, had worked briefly at Nella’s, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working with flowers, sewing, and was an avid reader. She had attended the Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremations Services on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 11AM until 1PM, the funeral hour. Pastor Norma Gibson will officiate and interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road.
