Nada Opal Evans, age 91 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday evening, November 1, 2020 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born August 9, 1929 at Horseshoe Run in Preston County, a daughter of the late Ai Snyder and Ora Harsh Snyder.

On October 12, 1946 she was married to Grover Junior Evans who preceded her in death August 6, 2012.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Evans and wife Charlene of Elkins and Stanley Evans and wife Roberta of Beverly, WV. Four grandchildren, Ginger Fox and husband Eric, Sena Lamarne and husband Junior, Clark and Elliott Evans and two great grandchildren, Samantha Fox and Devan Lamarne also survive. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Donald and James Snyder. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and also enjoyed spending time at the family business, Evans TV Appliance & Furniture Store. She attended the Full Gospel Fellowship Church at Glenmore and Wayside United Methodist Church.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 6, 2020 at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Helmick will officiate and interment will follow. Masks and social distancing are recommended for those attending the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 5 Whippoorwill Drive, Elkins, WV 26241 or Wayside United Methodist Church, 811 Isner Creek Road, Elkins, WV 26241. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Nada Opal Evans.
