Nancy S. Shelton McEldowney 1950-2002



Nancy C. Shelton McEldowney, a resident of Anchorage, Alaska, departed this life Monday, May 27, 2002, at home. She had been in declining health for the past year and death was attributed to cancer.

She was born in Marlinton on Sept. 23, 1950, a daughter of Lillian Phillips, who survives in Elkins, and the late William Raymond Shelton.

She was married to Keith McEldowney, who survives in Anchorage, Alaska.

Also surviving are two daughters, Shawn and husband, Lonni Roberts, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Keris and husband, Paul Lund, of Petersburg, Alaska; three granddaughters, Hailey and Alissa Lund and Adison Roberts; two brothers, Jerry Shelton and wife, Sharon, of Elkins, and Robert “Bobbie” and wife, Christina, of Lancaster, Pa.; five sisters, Sandra Brown and husband, Jim, Lovain, Ohio, Gloria Miller and husband, Daniel, Janet Skidmore and husband, David, Elkins, Dorothy Durante and husband, John, of Parkersburg, Pa., and Kathy Moore, Elkins; one sister-in-law, Virginia Shelton, Grafton; her stepfather, Boyd Phillips of Elkins; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William “Bud” Shelton.

Memorial services will be at the Church of the Nazarene on Lincoln Avenue and Main Street Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Terry Burgess officiating.
