Nannie Mae Duggan, 90, a resident of Jacksonville, Fla., departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Jacksonville, Fla.

She was born June 3, 1912, in Sarasota, Fla. She moved back to Florida in 1973, and made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Edsel Gordon.

On June 12, 1930, in Leesburg, Fla., she married Harry L. Duggan Sr., who preceded her in death in 1973. Mr. Duggan was the constable and justice of the peace in Elkins.

She is survived by one son, Harry Duggan, Jr. and wife, Anna Mae, Mercersberg, Pa.; one daughter, Carolyn Gordon and husband, Edsel, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Wesley and Dewain Duggan; four brothers, Richard, Robert, Jesse and Pud Thomas; and one sister, Juanita Anderson.

She grew up in Leesburg, Fla., and she and her husband moved to Elkins in 1941. Through the years, they owned Try-me Cleaners in Elkins and also owned D&H Furniture on Davis Avenue. She was a homemaker and was a Protestant.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Page-theus Funeral Home, 914 West Main St., Leesburg, Fla. The Rev. Hubert Bevill officiated and interment followed at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at Leesburg, Fla.
