Naomi May Ross Keener, age 85, passed away February 17, 2002 at her home in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born February 19, 1916 in Vancouver, Washington, daughter of Elmer Kingden and May Florence Hall Ross. Married Wilford Lee Keener, Dec. 23, 1939 in Tooele, Utah; solemnized in Salt Lake Temple, July 1, 1940. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church where she held many teaching positions and was a Primary and Sunday School secretary for many years. Mother was a wonderful seamstress making most of her children’s clothing. She was employed for many years by ZCMI’s Drapery Department. She lived with her daughter, Mary Ann, for the past seven years. We are thankful for a wonderful loving mother who raised nine children and gave them her love, time and affection. In return she was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great grand-children. We love you, mother.
Survived by children, Wilford (Claudia) Keener, West Valley City; Naomi Fiegal, Salt Lake City; Mary Ann (Gary) Graham, Taylorsville; Robert (Ireta) Keener, Draper; Donald (Donnie) Keener, Riverton; Lorraine (Lanny) Campbell, Salt Lake City; Georgia (Gary) Campbell, Midway; Georgene Taylor, Murray; 48 grandchildren; 122 great-grand-children; 60 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Wilford; son, Theador Vern Keener.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the Bennion Heights 5th Ward, 5775 South 2700 West. Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd and Wednesday at the church, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
